Ajax Fire and Emergency Services is celebrating a $17,860 grant awarded by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada to fund the purchase of 25 iPads and required accessories to be used for public education and training.
The iPads will be used by staff to spread fire safety messages effectively as they uphold their legislated responsibility to deliver public education in the community.
“Everyone wants to feel like they work, live and play in a safe community and it is why are so grateful for the generous donation from Firehouse Subs. Thanks to their help, we are now able to invest in the best interactive and innovative technology to better engage and empower youth with important lifesaving fire safety education,” said Ajax Mayor Shaun Collier.
