Book launch for Ajax local Rabindranath Maharaj’s newest novel Fatboy Fall Down

This Friday, April 12th at 5 pm The Ajax Public Library will be hosting award-winning authour and Ajax local Rabindranath Maharaj for the launch of his newest book, Fatboy Fall Down. Kirkus reviews praises the novel, describing it as a story that, “stretches the formal and emotional range of the coming-of-age story, deferring its payoff past adulthood and into middle age, where, for Orbits, unexpected revelations reframe the meanings of past suffering.”
The authour will be speaking about his inspiration for the novel and read selections of the book aloud. Autographed copies of Fatboy Fall Down will be available for purchase at the event.
Rabindranath Maharaj has authoured seven novels and three short story collections and is also a founding editor of the Canadian literary journal Lichen. His fifth novel The Amazing Absorbing Boy won the 2010 Trillium Book Award and the 2011 Toronto Book Award. In 2013, Maharaj was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
