Trent University’s Board of Governors recently approved the next steps for the development of a new residence and academic building at the University’s Durham GTA campus. This allows the University to proceed with an open competitive procurement process to build and finance the project.
The new spaces include an on-site student residence that will allow students to live on campus and experience all that the university has to offer, a central outdoor green courtyard, state-of-the-art lecture halls and new spaces for research innovation.
Additionally, a new 16-month Master of Management will launch exclusively at Trent, which will equip the next generation of management leaders for success in the global business world. The program was created especially for students with an undergraduate degree in a non-business major, and is now open for applications. The curriculum provides students with a broad spectrum of business and management disciplines, from accounting to corporate finance and marketing to strategic management. The program also encourages students to understand the larger social issues facing businesses in a rapidly changing environment.
“The new Master of Management is for students looking to develop advanced and sophisticated leadership skills as a complement to their undergraduate education.” says Dr. Amina Malik, interim director of the program.
