Canadian comedian Shaun Majumder’s tour stops at Regent Theatre

Host and Gemini Award-winning actor/comedian Shaun Majumder is coming to Oshawa for the first time. Majumder hails from Burlington, Newfoundland with a meager population of 350. He has frequently expressed a debt of love to Newfoundland, which has influenced him and his work, and has given him a rhythm of appreciation for what he has.

He starred in the Farrelly Brothers Fox comedy ‘Unhitched’ in 2008 before his Comedy Central Presents special debuted. He’s since appeared on ’24’, ‘Cedric the Entertainer Presents’, and is a former cast member of ‘This Hour Has 22 Minutes’.

His documentary series ‘Majumder Manor’ told the story of his dream to transform his home town into a high-end, sustainable tourist destination and ran for 2 seasons on the W Network.

His film credits include ‘Harold and Kumar go to White Castle’, ‘The Ladies Man’, ‘Pushing Tin’, ‘Purpose and Bob Funk’. Shaun Majumder also hosted the ‘Just for Laughs Comedy Festival’ TV series for three seasons. He currently splits his time between Los Angeles, Halifax and Newfoundland.

The show is titled Shaun Majumber’s Hate Tour, which pokes fun at the hate in the world. It is being presented at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa on Saturday November 24th at 8 pm with a recommended age of 14+.
