Clarington’s Phoenix A.M.D. donates 14 carloads of toys for kids this Christmas

Local Clarington company Phoenix A.M.D. International Inc. dropped off 14 car and truckloads of toys to Clarington Emergency and Fire Services. The toys donated are for children of all ages and will be given to families in need across the Municipality.

“We have been doing this for many years,” explained Dawn Rowe, Vice President Phoenix A.M.D. International Inc. “We are super blessed and want to give back to a community that has given us so much. Instead of buying gifts for each other, each year, we set a budget and buy gifts for those less fortunate,” added Ms. Rowe.

“We are very grateful for this large donation. Each year Phoenix AMD goes above and beyond and the toy mountain continues to grow. This will put a lot of smiles on the faces of our local kids,” said Clarington Fire Chief Gord Weir.

Phoenix A.M.D. International Inc. is a company that provides home furnishing protection and service. Their Bowmanville office sustained damage in a large fire in August 2014.

The overwhelming support from Phoenix AMD has been forwarded to the Salvation Army and Durham Regional Police Service, providing toys for distribution to thousands of children throughout the community and across Durham Region.
