Durham Regional Police hosts diversity recruiting symposium

Durham Region has become home to a wide range of culturally diverse communities. The Durham Regional Police Service is doing what it takes to become reflective of this diverse community of communities that they serve.

On October 13, the DRPS will host a Diversity Recruiting Symposium, inviting all interested individuals to learn more about a career in policing. This is a chance to meet and chat with police officers, including the Recruiting Unit, and learn about the hiring process.

The symposium includes a panel discussion with officers sharing how policing has affected their lives, a Police Information Session on the current hiring process, mock interviews and how Durham Regional Police Service may be best for you.

The symposium takes place from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Pine Ridge Secondary School,
2155 Liverpool Rd. in Pickering.

To register, visit www.drps.ca and click on Careers, current job opportunities. Register by applying for the Diversity Recruiting Symposium or use this link: http://bit.ly/2ddXPFM. A resume is required; however it will not be used in the selection process. If you do not have a DRPS account, one will need to be created prior to completing the registration process. If you have any further questions, please feel to contact DRPS at recruiting@drps.ca.
