FireFit Championships hosted by City of Oshawa for third time.

SCOTT FireFit Championships is back in town for fun, frolic and competition! The City of Oshawa is pleased to host one of the most engaging family events in the country for a record third time.

The FireFit is a worldwide competition that provides local residents a front row seat to firefighter training skills events, and a chance to do the course themselves. Team and individual firefighting competitors go head-to-head on a course that is based on real-life emergency situations.

The competition runs Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26 at Legends Centre. The event kicks off Friday from 5-10 pm with the Charity Relay, featuring teams from the general public competing against firefighters on the identical course. Regardless of conditions, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am – 5 pm the firefighters compete in individual and team competitions.

Returning this year is the Firehouse Subs FireFit Zone which gives children the opportunity to try out a variety of relay challenges. The course will be open all weekend with a child-friendly version of the Championship course with proceeds going to save Rescue Bear. Children will receive Firehouse Subs fire helmet upon completion of the course.
