The City of Oshawa recently announced a three-year partnership of Legends Centre Arena 3 with Owasco,
the local family owned and operated business.
Oshawa Mayor John Henry welcomed Owasco to the Legends Centre, and thanked them for their generous support and investment in the community.
Owasco is family owned and operated, serving the Durham Region and GTA since 1972. The Owasco group includes Owasco Audi, Owasco Volkswagen, Owasco RV Centre and Owasco RV Rentals.
“Oshawa is home to so many of our Owasco family, so sponsoring a local arena at Legends made sense. That’s where people come to meet, socialize, play and have fun. This is a great community hub and we are proud to be a part of it.” stated Bob Verwey, President of Owasco. “Giving back and investing in our community has been our priority for over 46 years”
As sponsor, Owasco receives decals on the arena’s window panes, a large banner inside the arena, ice logos during the regular season, branding on the score clock and rink board advertising.
The Legends Centre features a leisure pool, four NHL-sized ice pads, a gymnasium, aerobics studio, fitness centre and elevated indoor walking track. It is also home to an Oshawa Public Libraries branch and Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres branch.
