Local youth in the spotlight at Art from The High Schools exhibition

The Visual Arts Centre of Clarington is showcasing the talent of local high school students in their exhibition Art from the High Schools. The Visual Arts Centre provides opportunities for youth to become active members of the arts community in Durham region by allowing them to participate in exhibitions like this one.
Between March 22 and April 21, 2019 art lovers can support burgeoning artists who are working to develop their portfolio and expand their skill set by viewing original works created inside the classroom and out.
This year the VAC has opened applications to allow students to apply independently along with teachers to show artwork exhibition. This allows students who produce art outside of the classroom to show their work and be a part of the local artistic community.
Visitors are invited to attend the Art from the High Schools opening reception on Friday, March 22 from 6-8 pm to enjoy conversation, original art from local youth, and great food courtesy of Square Boy Pizza.
