Man Arrested, Charged For Drug Trafficking In Oshawa

A 71-year-old man from Lindsay is facing multiple drug-related charges after he was arrested for dealing drugs in Oshawa.

On Friday March 29, 2019, Police commenced an investigation into a male suspected of dealing drugs from his vehicle in Oshawa. Throughout the evening the man was observed making several stops to conduct drug transactions. He was stopped by police in the area of Elgin Street in Oshawa and arrested. He was found in possession of a number of pills including Codeine, Dilaudid, Oxycocet and a large quantity of cash.

A search warrant was conducted in the garage of an Oshawa residence where the suspect was residing. Officers seized more pills, mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and cash.

In total almost $30,000 in drugs and cash was seized.

Odel Dingard, age 71, of Lindsay is facing 6 drug trafficking, and drug trafficking related charges He was held for a bail hearing.
