Do you have a great idea but need a little financial support? Take your business idea to the next level in Oshawa on March 20.
Aspiring entrepeneurs and small business owners are invited to pitch their business concept for the chance to appear on national television when TV’s Dragons’ Den holds auditions on Wednesday, March 20 from 11 am to 6 pm at Durham College’s Student Services Building, 2000 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
Successful pitchers will have a chance to earn real investment from the Dragons, a panel of wealthy Canadian business moguls. Dragon’s Den is one of the country’s most successful and most watched television shows. The judges include Arlene Dickinson, one of Canada’s most renowned entrepreneurs and venture capitalists; Jim Treliving, chairman and owner of Boston Pizza; Lane Merrifield, who created Club Penguin and at the age of 28 sold it to Disney for $350 million; Manjit Minhas is the co-founder and co-owner of Minhas Breweries, Distillery and Wineries — the ninth largest brewery in the world; Vincenzo Guzzo is the president and CEO of Cinemas Guzzo, the number one operator in Quebec and the third largest movie exhibitor in Canada; Michele Romanow is the only Canadian on Forbes magazine’s Millennial on a Mission list
