Scugog Municipal election details and candidates.

Elections for municipal government in Ontario are held every four years on the fourth Monday of October. The next municipal election will be held Monday, October 22, 2018, with polls open from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

A Voter Notification Card was mailed to every household in Scugog and to every eligible elector in early October, advising designated voting place. You can bring your voter notification card to your polling station, but you will also require photo ID to vote.

Scugog mayoral candidates include Bobbie Drew and Betty Somerville. Candidates for Regional Councillor are Marc Gibbons, Don Kett, Dwayne Marrison and Wilma Wotten.

Candidates for Councillor Ward 1 are John Debono, Jim Howard, David Le Roy and Ian McDougall. Candidates for Councillor Ward 2 are Janna Guido, Tony Janssen and Cindy Sutch. Councillor Ward 3 candidates are Charlotte Hale and Angus Ross. Ward 4 Councillor candidates are Jennifer Bankay, Deborah Kiezebrink, Tara-Lyn Mappin and Chris Turner. Candidates for Councillor Ward 5 are Jennifer Back, Lance Brown and Tracy McGarry

Scugog residents will also help elect a Durham Regional Chair for the first time. Candidates for the Regional Chair include Tom Dingwall, John Henry, John Mutton, Peter Neal and Muhammad Ahsin Sahi.
