The sixth annual Touch-a-Truck event will be presented by Campkin’s RV Centre on Friday, August 24th,
outside and around the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa. This is a hands on chance for children of all ages to get up close and personal with more than 40 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Children can also play with interactive displays and can meet the drivers.
“It’s hard to believe that we’re rolling into the sixth year of this Touch-a-Truck event. The feedback has been consistent each year from the families that attend, they absolutely love this event and look forward to returning the following year,” stated William Balfour, Assistant General Manager and Director of Marketing & Group Sales for Spectra, operators of the facility. “Since the launch of the event in 2013, the community has raised more than $9,200 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-West Durham which would not be possible without the level of support provided by our community partners.
Although the event is free for the community to attend, Spectra encourages all attendees to donate what they can afford to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-West Durham at their booth or at the event’s Charity BBQ.
