Unlace your imagination with Durham Shoestring Performers

Come and play with the Durham Shoestring Performers during their 45th season.

Auditions are public readings using the script; no monologues are required. No fees and no experience necessary. All you have to do is read the script in advance, and give it a try if the character feels right. The fall performances include:

The Long Road by Shelagh Stephenson, directed by Joe Szekeres, Nov. 2-10, 2018
Love and Anger by George F. Walker, directed by Carolyn Wilson, January 18-26, 2019
Tomcat by James Rushbrooke, directed by John Lunman, March 22-30, 2019

Scripts for the shows are available for loan by contacting DSP at 905-725-9256 or at dsp@durhamshoestring.org.

DSP is non profit and has performed 153 productions in downtown Oshawa, 101 of them Canadian, 34 of them by local writers. Since 1974, DSP’s non-profit objectives are quality and accessibility: to present challenging and entertaining plays with an emphasis on innovative directing and design, and to keep production costs low so that live theatre can be enjoyed by all members of the community.

All auditions are held at the Oshawa Arts Resource Centre, 45 Queen St. Plentiful parking is free after 6 pm.

DSP is a member of Theatre Ontario, the Association of Community Theatres -Central Ontario and the Pine Ridge Arts Council.
